FERRON READS

I have read Christina Dodd before but only in paperback so I was excited to get her new hardback book Virtue Falls.

VIRTUE FALLS
by Christina Dodd

"If Elizabeth Banner noticed the interest with which the townspeople talked about her in low tones behind her back, she gave no indication. And in fact, she didn't notice. For as long as she could remember, she had always been the girl who had watched her father kill her mother with the scissors."

If the first paragraph of chapter one doesn't catch your interest, then this book isn't for you. Elizabeth Banner, a noted geologist, has come back to Virtue Falls, Washington after 23 years. She didn't return to visit her father, who is now in  a memory care facility with Alzheimer's after his prison term. She returned to study rocks; more specifically to study the  Pacific Rim tectonic plates and subduction zones. Elizabeth's ex-husband, Garik Jacobsen, has also returned to Virtue Falls. Then a massive earthquake hits the area and secrets long buried come to light.

If you like suspense and romance, this book is for you.
